Yes and no. We operate our homes similar to how Airbnb Hosts operate but with memberships, 30-day minimums, and a built-in community.
We operate on a first-come-first-serve model. If you see a room or suite that interests you, please reserve it as soon as possible.
Note: We do not hold rooms or suites for people who are looking to move weeks or months into the future. When you book a room or suite from Zomelle, your check-in date will be the day after you completed the verification process.
Yes, every home in our network comes with a high-speed internet connection.
- $250 (for a room).
- $500 (for a suite).
Upon reserving a home on our website, our membership fee, booking fee, and a damage deposit are due at checkout to secure your first month’s stay.
Note: In the event, you don’t complete or pass Zomelle’s verification process, all fees paid will be refunded within 10 business days.
Changes to your reservation will depend on other bookings before and after your term. If you need to make a change, contact us and we’ll assess whether we can make it work for you.
We generally have a 30-day cancellation policy. The cancellation penalty depends on when you notify us of your cancellation:
- Within 24 hours of booking your stay and before checking in → We can issue a full refund.
- Less than 7 days before check-in → We can issue a refund, minus a $300 cancellation fee.
- 30 or fewer days before check-in → You are responsible for the first 30 nights. We can refund all nights after night 30 (if you paid multiple months in advance).
- During your stay, with over 30 nights remaining → We can refund all nights after night 30 (if you paid multiple months in advance).
- During your stay, with 30 or fewer nights remaining → You are responsible for the remaining nights in your contract.
Note: Our cancelation fee corresponds to credit card fees (which we cover when booking), administrative costs, and the risk we take not marketing the home to other potential members.
- Furnished homes: We strive to include everything you’d need to live comfortably. We ask that you don’t bring any large furniture pieces to your home.
- Unfurnished homes: Yes, please do.
While we love pets, most of our homes are not the best fit for pets. Homes that allow pets are marked as “pet friendly’ on our website & listings.
Note: Only one pet per home and there is a flat $150 pet fee to house your furry friend. This fee is a one-time, nonrefundable fee that covers a cleaning post check-out to prevent any allergy-related illness in our homes. Pet-related damages or the need for excessive cleaning will be debited from the security deposit.
We have several dog breed restrictions. Most of our dog-friendly homes do not allow American Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Akitas, Cane Corsos, Presa Canarios, Bull Mastiffs, Staffordshire Terriers, Dobermans, German Shepherds, Boxers, Malamutes, Huskies, Dalmatians, Chow Chows, Fila Brasileiros, or Wolf hybrids.
We encourage individuals with service animals or one of the breeds listed as restricted to contact us at stay@zomelle.com before booking.
Yes, all our properties are entirely smoke-free. Members and their guests also may not engage in any drug-related activity, including but not limited to medical cannabis on or near the premises.
Most of the properties in our network have on-street parking as the only option. When off-street parking is available, we’ll include it in the home description.
We clean the common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, living room, dining room, and hallways) of the home on a bi-weekly schedule.
If you’d like a one-off bedroom clean, this can be arranged for a fee. Contact us at stay@zomelle.com for more details.
No. Our rooms and suites can NOT be rented out by our members.
Each confirmed reservation comes with a House Manual, which details important information about your stay and the home itself.
Included in the House Manual will be information about: Move-in instructions, door codes, WiFi password, parking (if applicable), mail, fixtures and appliances, contact information, garbage day instructions, and other details about the home. You’ll receive the House Manual by email once your reservation is confirmed.
Check-in is at 3PM and check-out is at 11AM.
Note: If you need a check-in or check-out time outside of these standard times, get in touch. If we can accommodate the requested time, we will.
- Rooms (with shared bathrooms & kitchen): NO, overnight visitors are NOT allowed at any time — due to limited space, bathrooms, noise, and privacy. Visitors are welcome to visit Members during normal visiting hours.
- Suites (with private bath, kitchen, and entrance): YES, overnight visitors are allowed, but with restrictions; overnight visitors (2 max) are restricted to staying a maximum of 7 nights within any 30-night term period.
Note: A maximum of 2 visitors are allowed in the home, room, or suite at a given time. Any Zomelle Member in a ‘private suite’ wishing to have a visitor for more than 7 nights will need to seek prior written approval from Zomelle, we’ll then review the case and grant approvals at our sole discretion. Member may be subject to additional charges and documentation.
We’re happy to extend your reservation if availability allows! We book on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact us at stay@zomelle.com as soon as you need an extension — the earlier the better to ensure our calendar is still open!
- If you have a fixed term, you will only be able to extend if we have not already booked someone else for those dates.
- If you have a flexible term and have not given us notice, there is no need to extend your stay. Your term does not end until you give us 15 days notice. If you have already given us notice, we can extend your stay if we haven’t booked anybody after you.
Note: If your room or suite is already booked after your term end date, we may have another comparable home available for you. Contact us for assistance in finding a transition property.
You’ll receive an email with detailed check-out instructions, but these are the main steps:
- Empty the fridge of personal food.
- Remove your food from cabinets.
- Remove personal items from the bathroom.
- Remove all your belongings from the home.
- Dispose of all trash from inside the home.
- Set up mail forwarding with USPS.
- Lock the property when you leave.
Check-out is at 11AM. If you need to stay in the home past that time, you will be charged the cost of rescheduling our cleaners and quality assurance inspectors, at a $100 fee.
Payments can be made online via electronic invoice.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as ACH direct bank payments.
We charge a processing fee for credit/debit card payments because our third-party payment processor charges us a fee for accepting credit/debit card payments.
Note: There is no processing fee for ACH direct bank payments.
The descriptor of the payment on your bank statement will say ZOMELLE.
